Bee removal "laws" in MO

I was recently in NC visiting a beek and he was telling me an exterminator there has to make "an effort" to find a beek or a way to remove the honey bees before he can outright "kill" them. Its the law. He gets calls from many profesional exterminators due to this and tries to charge competitively.
Does Missouri have any laws like this?

I have not heard of any such laws, but I have also been told by homeowners that pest services will not kill bees that have moved into their homes.  They claim it is against the law to kill them.  Whether that is true or not, I dont know.  I sometimes think homeowners find out how much an exterminator costs and thinks beekeepers will do the job for free.  I dont do cut outs for liability reasons.  I am no carpenter, and if I do it, it wouldnt be a pretty sight.  There are a few beekeepers in the state that will do cut outs, but they charge a fee and dont fix what they tear out.  If you do cut outs, dont feel bad about charging for it.  Just make perfectly clear, preferably in writing, that you are not responsible for fixing it, or for any other damages that you may cause.

removal of bees from houses and trees

I have been removing bees from houses, structures, and trees for years.   Most people understand that I am mostly doing a service for them since there is only about a 50% chance that I will actually get a working set of bees from the removal.

I agree that talking with the customer about exactly what you are willing to do, and what they have to do is of the utmost importance.

I am a Certified ARborist with the climbing gear and experience necessary to remove bees from trees.   I am very successful in removing bees from houses and will be glad to furnish references if someone is interested.

I can be reached at 317.698.8088 (yes, 317 not 417.  I moved from INdiana)   or   MADDOX_JC@YAHOO.COM

It takes forthought, planning, a long list of equipment, and experience with house construction, and I enjoy the work.
