Hi this is our second season of bee keeping. We had 50% success. One hive lived the other did not. We are members of the Eastern Mo Beekeepers. This year we are experimenting with Warre Hives. Not something that many care to try. Has anyone had experience with this method? My husband has built the Warre hive and we are getting a swarm to put in it.

Greetings Canbee! and congrats on last years accomplishments. I've had zero experience with the Warre hives myself, but do find them as an attractive alternative to the Langstroth from what I've read on them in the past. I'm for anything that lets the bees do, what bees do best, and the Warre hives certainly seem to fit that bill. Being a newbie myself though, I opted for the typical Langstroth setup to get some learning under my belt. Good luck this year, and keep us posted on the Warre experiment! Rob
